CHICCHE DI VIAGGIO A NEW YORK

Visitare New York non è semplice, soprattutto per chi è curioso e pensa "e quando mi ricapita di tornarci?". Questo vale un po' per tutti i viaggi che si affrontano in luoghi lontani. Nel momento in cui cominciate ad organizzare il vostro viaggio per filo e per segno, cominciate a fare delle scelte e ad incastrare tutti gli impegni che vi siete prefissati (spettacoli ed eventi sportivi di vario genere compresi). L'opportunità di tornare una seconda volta a New York noi l'abbiamo avuta e, pensate un po', anche dopo il secondo giro ci è rimasto il desiderio di tornarci.

Nel 2012 abbiamo optato per il New York City Pass, un blocchetto che vi permette di visitare 6 tra le attrazioni di maggiore interesse ad un prezzo agevolato, si acquista on-line e lo ritirate alla prima visita. Per 5 giorni si riesce ad usare l'intero blocchetto e in ogni caso avete un notevole risparmio. Noi lo abbiamo sfruttato per le seguenti attrazioni/musei:

MET Metropolitan Museum (ora aperto 7 giorni su 7), GUGGENHEIM (chiuso giovedì) che quell'anno ospitava una mostra di Picasso, MOMA Museum of Modern Arts (sempre aperto), CIRCLE LINE (piccola crociera sull'Hudson River), MUSEO DELLA SCIENZA e EMPIRE STATE BUILDING. 
All'epoca costava circa $ 100, ora ho appena visto che ci sono delle promozioni sul sito ufficiale NY CITY PASS e, oltre ad un leggero aumento di prezzo, ho notato che manca il MOMA e al suo posto c'è da poter scegliere tra Memoriale e Museo dell'11 settembre e Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. Il Memoriale non era ancora pronto nel 2012 e per questo motivo abbiamo avuto la possibilità di visitarne una parte dando un'offerta libera.

La seconda volta che siamo stati a New York abbiamo scelto un'altra soluzione. Non aveva senso acquistare nuovamente il blocchetto, così abbiamo optato per la Go Select Card. Se guardate questo link Viaggi New York troverete delle spiegazioni esaustive. Con la Go Select Card abbiamo deciso a New York cosa visitare e abbiamo acquistato on line con carta di credito. Da due a tre attrazioni avete già diritto ad un 20% di sconto, che aumenta in funzione di quante ne comprate. Dopodiché basta mostrare il QR code alla biglietteria e loro vi consegneranno il biglietto. In questo modo siamo riusciti a visitare Liberty Island, Ellis Island e una "Exhibition" dedicata ai costumi di Star Wars (cose da Nerd, lo so, ma andava fatto!).

New York is a great big city and if you are there for the first time, it's not simple to visit, 'cause you want to see so many thing that it has to offer. At the end you have to make a choice and for the first time it could be useful the New York City Pass, a voucher with some tickets of the most famous attractions in New York: MET Metropolitan Museum (open every day), GUGGENHEIM (closed on Thursday), MOMA Museum of Modern Arts (open every day), CIRCLE LINE (little cruise on he Hudson River), SCIENCE MUSEUM and the myth, the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING. 
In 2012 the price was $100, now I've seen that sometimes there are sales on the officil site NY CITY PASS. The price is a little bit increased and I've noticed that there isn't no more MOMA ticket and at its place there's memorial and 11th september Museum or Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
The second time that we were in New York, we chose the Go Select Card. At this link you will find good information Viaggi New York. This card is useful if you want to choose the attractions when you are in the Big Apple. You can buy the card online and you need to exhibit the QR code at the ticket office of the chosen attraction. With this method we have visited liberty Island, Ellis Island and the Star Wars Exhibition...I know, a "nerd" thing, but I'm proud of it!
